Hawaiian Islands
Hawaii, our 50th and southernmost State, is an archipelago in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the most isolated places on Earthmore than 3,500 km (2,000 mi) from the nearest continent. The Hawaiian Islands consist of 8 large islands and 124 small islands, reefs, and shoals.
